Privacy Policy

We have undertaken to protect the privacy of our customers and users. Accordingly, we have drawn up these privacy policy principles, which cover the collection, use, disclosure, transfer and storage of customer data. Our activities on the internet comply with all relevant activities and the corresponding legislation of the European Union and the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our privacy principles.

Collection and use of personal data
Personal data is data that we collect when performing a contract concluded with an individual or in order to contact them.
The collection of a regular customer’s personal data may take place in the following ways:
• when contact details (including name, postal address, telephone number, email address) are submitted on our website or elsewhere
• when using the website, from the customer’s account information or through cookies
• when making a purchase or order in our shop or e-shop, by storing the person’s contact details or data concerning purchase preferences
(we may ask you to voluntarily provide personal data and personal information in certain areas of the website. The required personal data may include name, address, postal code, email address, telephone number and other data.)

Collection of other data
We also collect non-personalised data – data that cannot be directly linked to a specific person (gender, age, language preference, location).
We may also collect data on generalised customer activities in our shops and on the website. This data is aggregated and used so that we can provide customers with more useful information and find out which parts of the website, products and services are the most interesting. Aggregated data is treated as non-personalised data in this privacy policy.

Use of the collected personal data
We use the collected personal data only for delivering the goods and fulfilling the obligations undertaken towards the customer. By agreeing to the terms of the privacy policy, the customer consents to the automated processing of their data. You can always withdraw your consent by submitting an application in a form that can be reproduced in writing. Neither the application nor the withdrawal of consent has retroactive effect.
For better service to the customer, we may disclose information about individual users to a third party who provides us with services and who is contractually obliged to keep the shared information confidential. A third party is, for example, our partner whose tasks include the transport of the goods sold in the e-shop.

Modification of the collected personal data
The customer can modify the personal data collected for identifying and contacting the customer by getting in touch with us.

Protection of personal data
We apply all precautionary measures (including administrative, technical and physical measures) to protect the customer’s personal data. Access to modify and process the data is granted only to persons authorised for this.
If you suspect that your personal data has been handled contrary to what is described in this privacy policy, or there is a risk that your data has leaked to unauthorised persons, notify us immediately. This is the only way we can keep the potential damage as small as possible.
The customer has the right to demand the termination of the processing of their data, information about the use of the data, and the transfer of the data to themselves or to a third party in a commonly used format. In order to avoid misuse of the customer’s data and rights, requests may be submitted only in a form in which the identity of the applicant is verifiable (digitally signed or signed in person at the office). We have the right to respond to such requests within 30 days.

Security
All customer personal data made known during visits to the e-shop and the making of purchases is treated as confidential information. The encrypted data communication channel with the banks ensures the security of the purchaser’s personal data and banking details.

Privacy policy terms and changes
By starting to use our website or by completing a regular customer application, you have familiarised yourself with these principles and terms and have agreed to them. We reserve the right to change the general terms of the privacy policy if necessary, notifying all regular customers of this, but we do our best to keep our privacy policy up to date and available to you on our website.
For any questions or concerns arising about the privacy policy or data processing, please contact us at info@metsatarvikud.ee.
You always have the right to turn to the Data Protection Inspectorate or a court to protect your data. The Data Protection Inspectorate is a state institution that can also be contacted for consultation or assistance on the topic of personal data protection.
